Et cetera : NCCC Maple 4 Painting at Vinton Community Pool

AmeriCorps NCCC team Maple 4 is painting the Vinton community pool this week.

The paint for the pool is a two-part paint that dries immediately. It takes 7-10 days to cure before it can hold water.

The team is also painting the lifeguard seats and restroom privacy fences. The team took advantage of the 92 degree weather on Tuesday and painted the majority of the large swimming pool's floor and side walls.

“We are really excited for the pool to be finished and opened on Memorial Day weekend,” says team member Diana Cook.
