Kirkwood Community College will hold the institution's 2024 commencement ceremony this Saturday, May 11, at the Alliant Energy PowerHouse beginning at 10 a.m.
The class of 2024 is expected to exceed 1,600 graduates and will be comprised of students who have completed, or will complete, their program requirements following the Fall 2023, Spring 2024, and Summer 2024 semesters. About 600 graduates are expected to take part in the ceremony.
Those speaking at the event include Kirkwood President Dr. Kristie Fisher, Board of Trustees Chair James Mollenhauer, Kirkwood Faculty Association President Dr. Julia Rabe, Vice President of Academic Affairs Jennifer Bradley, and student speaker Carson Brincks.
The ceremony is free and open to the public. Tickets are not required for attendees. For those that cannot attend in person, the event will be livestreamed on the college's website www.kirkwood.edu.
