My latest discovery amongst our library shelves is a historical fiction novel, 'The Dollhouse,' by Fiona Davis.

I would also categorize this book as a mystery and yes, it is worth reading. This fast-paced book invites you into the lives of Rose, a modern-day journalist, and Darby, a young woman who had gone to secretary school and was staying at the Barbizon Hotel, in 1952.

The story is based on the mystery of what happened between a maid, and Darby herself…ending in death. Not only does Rose discover the truth of that fateful night in 1952, but she also finds her own strength and the meaning of true friendship along the way.

If you are searching for a new author to check out, we have quite a selection of her novels here at our library.

I am currently reading 'The Lions of Fifth Avenue' by Fiona Davis.

Happy reading friends,

~Lisa
