Katy Manchester

The AmeriCorps team leaders have been preparing for the upcoming session, that begins with the arrival of the members in a few weeks.

Name: Katy Manchester

Hometown: Nantucket, Massachusetts

Katy served at the Vinton campus last year as part of Class 17 and is serving a second year with the campus. She is the Class 18 Program Office Support Team Leader where she is assisting with projects and service learning as well as leading teams when needed. Katy is bringing the following skills to her Team Leader position leadership, organization and a willingness to serve

Katy graduated from Nantucket High School in 2005 and Southern New Hampshire University with a BS in Business Administration.

Prior to NCCC, Katy was attending college and she initially heard about the AmeriCorps program from a NCCC alumnus. After completing her Team Leader year, she wants to work in Student Affairs or the nonprofit sector

Q: Are there any sayings your parents repeated over and over that you can still remember clearly? “You have it worse than some and better than others” and this is why Katy loves to volunteer and give back to others.
