Name: Courtney Miskell
Hometown: Auburn, New York
Courtney graduated from Auburn High School in 2006 and Marist College in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, Concentration in Public Relations. Prior to joining NCCC in 2011, Courtney worked in an internship in Washington D.C.
Courtney served as a Class 17 Corps Member at the Perry Point, Maryland campus in 2011. Her Corps Member year taught her volunteer management skills, construction skills, and gave her disaster shelter experience, among many other things.
She arrived on January 9, 2012 to begin her second term with NCCC but this time as a Team Leader at the Vinton campus. As a Class 18 Team Leader she will lead team Cedar 6 on service projects throughout the North Central Region. After completing her Team Leader year, she plans to start a career in the nonprofit sector focusing on a social business that helps women and children get out of poverty.
