Jackie McMahan III. of Newhall graduated from Central College with Alpha Zeta Mu honors during the 2012 commencement ceremony.

Alpha Zeta Mu is the highest academic honor available. Students that graduate with these honors must be full time students, completed at least three semesters at Central and achieved a minimum grade point average between 3.8 and 4.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Garret Albers of Keystone, Iowa graduated with academic awards from Central College during their 2012 commencement ceremony.

The history award (2012) award was granted to due to their academic excellence in the history department.

Central College is a private, four-year, residential, liberal arts college in Pella, Iowa. Central was recognized in the 2011 U.S. News & World Report's annual rankings of the best liberal arts colleges in the nation.
