Cedar one is managing the wet lab touch table, priming and painting the Logsdon steamboat, working in animal husbandry with food prep and cleaning, moving animals and cleaning cages/ tanks, conducting visitor surveys for museum and giving educational tours. and greeting people on the William M. Black steamboat. Cedar 1 has also been greeting people who have come to tour the William M. Black steamboat, a historical landmark and their housing while they live in Dubuque. The team is also volunteering at the annual Taste of Dubuque festival, while spreading the word about the Museum and the NCCC program. The Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium is a community non-profit organization that is part of the Dubuque County Historical Society. It aims to explore, collect, preserve and interpret the history of Dubuque County and the Mississippi River. With all the work Cedar One is doing, the museum can be more accessible and informative for the public.
