Et cetera : VS FFA members earn honors at Career Development events

This past June, some of our Vinton-Shellsburg FFA chapter members participated in going to state for four different carer development events. The first CDE that took place was our Ag Foods team. The team was made up of Jessica Dickerson, Stephanie Auen, and Tiffany Auen. They competed at ISU on June 7th. Their team received a silver award over all. Our Agronomy team also competed at ISU on that day as well. That team was made up of Timothy Houtchens, Bastian Primmer, Jacob Patrilla, and Kyle Henkle. Their team also received a silver award.

The next CDE that took place was our Nursery Landscape team. Their team was made up of Jessica Dickerson. Stephanie Auen, and Tiffany Auen. They competed at KCC on June 12th. Their team received 8th place, and a silver. Our Floriculture team also competed at KCC on that day as well. That team was made up of Colleen Finch, Summer Stephenson, Anna Reisch, and Emily Cashman. Their team received 6th place and a gold. Over all we had very succesful CDE’s this summer and we hope to have many more throughout this coming school year.
