Name: Victoria Felt
Hometown: Manteca, Calif.
Victoria is serving as the Pine 1 NCCC FEMA Corps Team Leader at the Vinton Campus. She chose to participate in AmeriCorps NCCC FEMA Corps because she thinks it is important for young people in this country to gain life experience and perspective.
Victoria graduated from East Union High School in 2006 and Humboldt State University in May 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in social work. After her service term ends she plans to pursue graduate school and is currently debating between law school and a master’s in post-secondary education.
In 2008 Victoria served as a NCCC member at the Perry Point, Md. campus and believes that her experiences there will help her succeed as a Team Leader with NCCC FEMA Corps. Victoria says that there are so many social problems that exist in America and young people have the energy and the creativity to make change. She believes that this program really trains the future leaders of this county.
