Chalynn Passmore of Anderson, Calif., is today's featured NCCC FEMA Corps Team Leader.
Chalynn is serving as the Pine 4 NCCC FEMA Corps Team Leader at the Vinton Campus. She chose to participate in AmeriCorps NCCC FEMA Corps because she enjoyed her previous experience as a NCCC Class 18 Corps Member at the Sacramento campus and wanted to continue serving communities.
Chalynn graduated from Anderson High School in 2006 and Simpson University in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics. After her service term ends she hopes to return to school and pursue a degree in environmental engineering.
In 2008 Chaylynn went on a mission trip with a group of eight other individuals. They rode their bikes across the United States to help raise funds and awareness for a non-profit organization called Blood Water Mission, which helps build wells in many different countries.
