Name: Bethany Hill
Hometown: Nashville, Tenn.
Bethany is serving as a member of the NCCC FEMA Corps team Spruce 3 at the Vinton Campus. She chose to participate in NCCC FEMA Corps because she wanted to gain experience and direction in her life. She has always wanted to work in the area of disaster recovery and thought that NCCC FEMA Corps would be a good opportunity to explore the field.
Bethany graduated from Hume Fogg High School in 2007 and Trevecca Nazarene University in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in social work and a minor in social justice. After her service term ends she hopes to decide on an area of social work to focus on and return to school to pursue a master’s degree.
Bethany once spent a summer in Yellowstone National Park working in a hotel and leading church services. She has also spent a summer in Bulgaria on a mission trip. She believes that these two summers have shaped her into a person who can handle anything that NCCC FEMA Corps throws her way.
