Name: Alexander Parlato

Hometown: Baltimore, MD

Alexander is serving as a member of the NCCC FEMA Corps team Hickory 4 at the Vinton Campus. He chose to participate in NCCC FEMA Corps because he wanted to figure out his life’s path while spending time doing volunteer work that he can be proud of.

Alexander graduated from the Baltimore School for the Arts in 2010 and attended the Maryland Institute College of Art before joining NCCC FEMA Corps. He hopes to use his service term to discover a future career path to pursue.

Alexander learned about NCCC through a friend who participated in the program during 2010. He decided to apply for NCCC FEMA Corps based on his friend’s recommendation and is looking forward to an exciting 10 months of national service.
