Cedar Rapids – All over the globe, Sweet Adelines International choruses are joining together to teach the world to sing. Women of all ages who enjoy singing are invited to Open Houses, held by the Cedar Sounds Chorus, Tuesday evenings in January from 7 – 9:30 at Calvin Sinclair Presbyterian Church, 715 38th St. SE in Cedar Rapids. (1 Blk N of Mt. Vernon Rd).

Cedar Sounds is a chapter of Sweet Adelines International, an organization of nearly 25,000 women worldwide who sing four-part a cappella harmony, barbershop style. The Cedar Sounds members share a love of music and singing barbershop harmony. The Chorus performs throughout the community, offering its talent for entertainment at events and charitable functions.

As a member, you too can experience the exhilaration of performing and singing with the Cedar Sounds Chorus. Any woman of average singing ability, with or without vocal training, will find a part that fits her voice range with the help of the chorus’ director.
