Et cetera : AmeriCorps NCCC FEMA Corps Class 19 Member Spotlight: Sarah Kubishta

Name: Sarah Kubishta

Hometown: Helix, Ore.

Sarah is serving as a member of the NCCC FEMA Corps team Hickory 6 at the Vinton Campus. She chose to participate in AmeriCorps NCCC FEMA Corps because she wants to pursue a career in nonprofits and enjoys working with other like-minded young people to benefit the greater good.

Sarah graduated from Helix High School in 2007 and Western Oregon University in June 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. After her service term ends she hopes to attend graduate school or find a job with a company that is dedicated to giving back to the community.

Sarah is no stranger to community service. In the summer of 2010 she traveled to Guatemala to volunteer in an orphanage and in 2011 she participated in a service trip with her university to work with the homeless community in San Francisco. She is looking forward to new opportunities give back through NCCC FEMA Corps.
