Name: Jill Jaeger
Hometown: Aurora and Fort Collins, Colo.
Jill is serving as a member of the NCCC FEMA Corps team Hickory 6 at the Vinton Campus. Her first experience with AmeriCorps NCCC was in third grade when a team helped out at her elementary school. She chose to participate in NCCC FEMA Corps because she is passionate about social justice and wants her actions to reflect her values.
Jill graduated from William C. Hinkley High School in 2007 and Colorado State University in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in health and exercise science. After her service term ends she hopes to complete a second term with NCCC. Eventually she plans to attend graduate school and looks forward to exploring different programs during her service with NCCC FEMA Corps.
After graduating from college Jill interned at the Women and Gender Advocacy Center. During her internship she oversaw the summer orientation presentations on consent and sexual assault and worked with a peer facilitator group that she was a part of as an undergrad.
