Et cetera : Tilford first graders again celebrate wedding of Q and U

Although at times they start a quarrel, Q and U quietly quoted their wedding vows again at Tilford Elementary.

First grade students at Tilford continued the annual tradition on Friday with the students of Mrs. Neblung and Mrs. Martinez-Vazquez making up the bridal party and the guests. Vinton Mayor John Watson again officiated the ceremony. Last Friday, the students of Mrs. Barron and Mrs. Mathis participated in the same ceremony. Fourth grade students represented the letters of the alphabet, then joined in the wedding reception, sharing cupcakes as well as a few traditional wedding dances.

Some parents have begun a Facebook photo album, which now includes more than 90 photos of Friday's event.
