On Monday, June 16th, there were four tables of pepper cards played. Hazel Eastwood won 1st place with 267 points. Patty McKenna won 2nd place with 252 points. Don Selken won 3rd place with 241 points. After the games, refreshments were served by the card club. HACAP provided the beverages.
On Tuesday, June 17th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Maureen Haisman was the volunteer caller. Marion Isbell handpicked the games. Game one was Wild Number Three Bingos with Marion Isbell winning. Game two was a 9-Pack with Elsie Knaack winning. Game three was Postage Stamps with Hazel Eastwood winning. Game four was Las Vegas with Shane Monaghan and Lorraine Fix winning. Darlene Werning and JoAnn Roster won game five with Blackout.
On Wednesday, June 18th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Linda handpicked the games. Game one was the Letter “B” with Mae Wilhelmi winning. Game two was the Letter “I” with Greta Geiken winning. Game three was the Letter “N” with Elsie Knaack as the winner. Game four was the Letter “G” with Mae Wilhelmi winning. Greta Geiken won game five with a Blackout.
On Thursday, June 19th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo with Vickie Holst as the volunteer caller. Hazel Eastwood handpicked the games. Game one was a 9-Pack with Hazel Eastwood and JoAnn Roster as the winners. Game two was Wild Card Three Bingos with Ruth Wieditz and George Eckhart as the winners. Game three was Postage Stamps with Oma Eckhart as the winner. Game four was Stair Steps with Ruth Wieditz and Oma Eckhart winning. Dora Vogt won game five with Blackout.
On Friday, June 20th, the afternoon activity was a 500 Card Party. Bill Milne won 1st place with 3,550 points. Margaret Fuehrer won 2nd place with 3,190 points. Geri Shaffer took 3rd place with 3,160 points. After the games, refreshments were served by the card club. HACAP provided the beverages.
On Monday, June 23rd, the afternoon activity was Pepper Cards. Geri Shaffer won first place with 295 points. Second place went to Irene Gieger with 287 points. Bill Milne won third place with 285 points. After the games, refreshments were served by the card club. HACAP provided the beverages.
On Tuesday, June 24th, the afternoon musical entertainment was provided by Hauser/O’Deen Music.
On Wednesday, June 25th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Wendy Pennington was the volunteer caller. JoAnn Roster handpicked the games. Game one was a Check Mark with Norma Ellis winning. Game two as a Layer Cake with Geri Shaffer winning. Game three was Wild Number Three Bingos with Mae Wilhelmi winning. Game four was Four Corners with Greta Geiken winning. JoAnn Roster won game five with Blackout.
On Thursday, June 26th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Wendy Pennington was the volunteer caller and handpicked the games. Game one was the Letter “N” with Hazel Eastwood as the winner. Game two was a 9-Pack with Marion Isbell winning. Game three was a Plus Sign and Four Corners with Marion Isbell winning. Game four was the Letter “X” with George Eckhart as the winner. Ruth Wieditz and Marion Isbell won game five with Blackout.
On Friday, June 27th, there were games of 500 cards played. After the games, refreshments were provided by the Card Club. HACAP provided the beverages.

Everyone is WELCOME! Suggested contribution for individuals 60 years old or older, and their spouse (regardless of age) is $3.25 for the meal. Individuals who are not yet 60 are WELCOME but need to pay $4.25 for their meal. If you are just coming for the activity, the suggested contribution is $1.00. Carryout meals are available. We deliver meals to Vinton, Newhall, Urbana, and Garrison/Mt Auburn. The suggested contribution is $3.50/meal if you are 60 or older. For those under age 60, the suggested contribution is $4.25 for home delivered meals. We also have nutritious frozen meals and liquid supplements. Delivery is throughout Benton County. Please call by 10:00 AM daily to cancel a Home Delivered Meal. For more information about services, please call 319-472-4761, or to reserve a table for groups of three or more. Please help us recruit more people to join the 4th St Diner Meal program. All contributions are used toward the continued operations of the meal site.
Each month the 4th St Diner has a special day set aside to celebrate birthdays for that month. It is always scheduled for the second Tuesday of each month. Anyone having a birthday for that particular month is encouraged to make a reservation for themselves and any guests they would like to celebrate with. The names of all birthday celebrants who have made a reservation for the Birthday Table are entered into the door prize drawing. We currently have two door prizes scheduled for each month. The first is $5 in Vinton Unlimited Value Dollars generously donated by Vinton Unlimited. The second is a gift certificate for a free 4th Street Diner meal. Reservations for the Birthday Dinner table can be made by calling 472-4761. Reservations need to be made by 10:00 AM on the day of the celebration.
