Samantha Wenndt, a sophomore from Keystone, Iowa (52249), was one of thirteen students from Iowa State to be selected to work for Precision Meetings and Events Inc. to help with the American Israel Public Affairs Committee Policy Conference in Washington, D.C. March 1-3. Wenndt is studying event management in apparel, events, and hospitality management within the College of Human Sciences at Iowa State University.
At the conference, students will be able to assist with the on-site management and staffing support of conference registration, plenary sessions, keynote addresses from President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, President Shimon Perez, educational sessions, breakfasts, lunches, receptions, dinners and social events within the convention center and off-site, crowd management and a day of lobbying on Capitol Hill. Approximately 15,000 delegates attend this three day conference, and there are 100+ events that take place throughout the conference.
