Buena Vista University students were recently honored at the university's annual student recognition event.
Area students who were honored include:
Jamie Rich, a junior psychology major from Belle Plaine, received the following recognition:
Ed Bock & Henry Olson Travel Award. This award is for Buena Vista University students to support them in opportunities they might not otherwise experience.
Tanner Heckt, a junior business with a marketing concentration major from Dysart, received the following recognition:
Clifford A. Rae Academic Achievement Award. The Clifford A. Rae Academic Achievement Award was created by an Endowment from the foundations established by the late Dr. Harold Walter Siebens to honor Mr. Rae, the long-time advisor and counsel to Dr. Siebens and the foundations. The endowment supports annual awards for nine pre-qualified, high performing BVU business and science majors each academic year.
