Our sons, Alex, 23 and Elliot, 17, began living in a group home in Marion during October. The opportunity came up for them to live together and be closer to their school and day program. Their adjustment has been easy and they continue to be as happy as always. We would like to say “Thank You” to family, friends and our community for loving our boys, saying Hi to them, shaking their hand and just letting them know they are thought of. Thank you to Grandma & Grandpa Janssen and Grandma & Grandpa Hansen for watching the boys, to Harvest Christian Fellowship Church for your support and prayers, to Victoria Fink for your visits, to Kerri, Judy, Danielle, and Brittney for 1:1 time, to the ARC Summer Day & Saturday Respite Program, to Mark, Ruth and April for expert bus driving, to Benton County Transportation, West Elementary staff during their pre-school years, to our neighbors the Hilners for chats with the boys, and to store and restaurant staff who took notice of our them. Special thanks to the Vinton REM group home for your care of Alex for 5 years. You treated him like gold. If he could talk, he would hug you and say I Love You. It has been said that a nation is only as great as it treats its weakest members. Blessings to our community! In acknowledgement of all kindnesses, Alex & Elliot Scott & Julie Hansen
