This weekend I started reading 'Diva' by Daisy Goodwin. This book is inspired by the true story of Maria Callas, the gifted soprano whose professional career in opera began in 1941 and spanned several decades. The story is full of drama, operatic detail and flawless descriptions of the talent, wardrobe and entourage that made Callas the diva of her time. I would recommend this story to anyone who enjoys historical fiction and am inspired to read other books by Goodwin.
