Amy Meyer from Garrison, a Vinton-Shellsburg 2007 graduate and Iowa State University Student, will be heading to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on a missionary project this summer. The project is sponsored by Campus Crusade for Christ (CRU), an evangelism driven Christian organization. While at Myrtle Beach Meyer will take part in ‘Evangelism on the Beach’ and share her faith by witnessing to high school seniors and college students on the beach as well as people she will be working with at her summer job in Myrtle Beach.
Meyer became involved CRU in her sophomore year at ISU. She sings in the Praise/Worship Band every week at CRU, leads a bible study and is on the CRU leadership team and Connections Team. She regularly takes part in campus evangelism activities.
The Myrtle Beach project is entirely supported through donations. To help support the project Meyer will be having a garage sale at the Teresa Meyer Farm Bureau Financial Services Office at 413 1st Avenue in Vinton on Saturday, May 22 from 8 am to noon.

Meyer has finished her junior year at IowaStateUniversity, majoring in Communications and minoring in French, German and History.
