Et cetera : Seeking Nominations for 2012 Iowa Nonprofit Awards

Nonprofit leaders, volunteer management professionals, and members of the public are invited to submit nominations for Iowa Nonprofit Awards, which recognize a variety of nonprofit organizations, professionals and volunteers for their work in making Iowa communities thrive. A link tothe online nomination form is available at www.regonline.com/npsummit2012; deadline is 5:00 p.m. Sept. 28.

Nominations are accepted in several categories: Nonprofit Spotlight Award; Nonprofit Board/Staff Leadership Award; Growing Grantmaker Award; Philanthropic Impact Award; Outstanding Volunteer or Service Program Award; Outstanding Volunteer or Service Manager Award; or Outstanding Nonprofit Collaboration Award. Winners will be recognized during the Iowa Nonprofit Summit to be held Nov. 7-8 in Des Moines, Iowa.

Training and networking opportunities during the Iowa Nonprofit Summit will focus on all elements of effective nonprofit operations and volunteer program management. This annual conference will include outstanding keynote presentations, dozens of break-out sessions to help attendees develop professional skills, become better volunteer managers, and enhance their nonprofit organization. Discounted registration fees are available through Oct. 17.
