By: Krista Eichhorst

Name: Lisa Donahue

Hometown: Wakefield, Massachusetts

Lisa is serving as the Pine 5 NCCC FEMA Corps Team Leader at the Vinton Campus. She chose to participate in AmeriCorps NCCC FEMA Corps because she was looking for an opportunity to better herself, see the country, and positively impact others and the environment.

Lisa graduated from Wakefield High School in 2006 and Westfield State University in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in geography and regional planning. She is currently working on a master’s degree in geographic information science at Salem State University.

Lisa says that her plans for after service depend on her experience this year. She may want to serve another year in the program or her experience may reveal another path for her to discover. In any case, Lisa is excited to leave her mark this year as a Team Leader with NCCC FEMA Corps.
