Name: Jen Schollin
Hometown: Southington, Conn.
Jen is serving as a member of the NCCC FEMA Corps team Pine 4 at the Vinton Campus. She chose to participate in AmeriCorps NCCC FEMA Corps because she wanted to reconnect with her country again after spending a year studying abroad in Paris. She feels that doing a year of service is a great way to give back while exploring the United States.
Jen graduated from Southington High School in 2008 and Goucher College in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in French. After her service term ends she hopes to work in an art museum and possibly attend graduate school for a degree in arts administration.
Jen is fluent in French and during the spring of 2011 she interned at a children’s art museum in Paris called Musee en Herbe. During her internship she gave museum tours to children in French and English.
