Name: Kaley Bartosik

Hometown: Kettering, Ohio

Kaley is serving as a member of the NCCC FEMA Corps team Pine 3 at the Vinton Campus. She chose to participate in AmeriCorps NCCC FEMA Corps because volunteering has been a very important part of her life and she wanted to take some time to travel, give back, and figure out the next steps for her future.

Kaley graduated from Kettering Fairmont High School and Miami University in May 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in architecture. She is considering continuing on a path of service or working towards a master’s degree in architecture after her service term ends.

Kaley has spent two summers working on the Appalachian Trail to improve the existing trail structure and build new sections. She says that this experience allowed her to meet incredible volunteers as well as see some of the most beautiful places in the country.
