Hometown: Storm Lake, Iowa

Sean is serving as a member of the NCCC FEMA Corps team Pine 7 at the Vinton Campus. He chose to participate in AmeriCorps NCCC FEMA Corps because his friend served in NCCC at the Perry Point Campus a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it. He says, “I found myself in a position where I had the year free, and, feeling the urge to support my community and country, I signed up.”

Sean graduated from Fond du Lac High School in 2008 and after his service term ends he hopes to either sign up for another term or move to Portland, Oregon and attend school for music production. Composing electronic music is one of Sean’s passions and he uses various programs to make rhythms and manipulate sounds.

Sean and his team are currently serving on their final project in Washington, DC after spending the last two rounds in New Jersey helping with Hurricane Sandy recovery. They will return to Vinton in June for graduation.
