The Vinton Garden club, a member of National Garden Clubs, Inc., District II and Central Region met December 12th, 2017 at Pizza Ranch in Vinton. Members shared luncheon and then held their meeting.

Vinton residents lined up along the street, watching lighted vehicles and trailers heading toward downtown in the annual Christmas parade. The Lions were in the parade.

Sarah Vandewalle participated in Iowa State University's Science with Practice program.

Those little donations from countless people add up to more than $10,000 each giving season, to help area families with things they need to help them get back on their feet.

Here are a couple more unique holiday displays in Vinton. John's Tires includes its large tire snowman, and at least two area homes have added the humorous inflated display of an outhouse for Santa.
