By: Tyler Wroblewski On April 30, NCCC team Oak 5 piled into their van and embarked on a seven and a half hour journey to Whitehouse, Ohio, a small town in the Toledo metropolitan area, where they would serve Camp Courageous, a summer camp for individuals with developmental disabilities.

By: Luke Bowes and Megan Crissy Maple 6 is serving in Cedar Rapids with Cultivate Hope, a program within the nonprofit organization Matthew 25. The team sees the effects of poverty and obesity in the Taylor and Time Check neighborhoods and hopes that their service is providing a means for the community to adopt a healthy food culture.

Recognition for outstanding academic achievement has been given to the following Grand View University students for the 2015 spring semester. The students are named to the Dean's List for earning a grade point average of 3.

Central College student Hailey Benson of Newhall presented during an Undergraduate Research Symposium May 5-6. Benson presented "Determination of L-dopa in Mucuna pruriens using HPLC: A Green Laboratory" as part of a series discussing independent research in chemistry.

Upper Iowa University recently held its 30th annual Scholarships and Awards Recognition Banquet and awarded 129 scholarships to students across the University.
