Two young women chosen for trip to nation’s capital

Two seniors-to-be will represent ECI REC in Washington, D.C., June 14 to June 20. They will join approximately 1,500 other youth who are also sponsored by their RECs to visit historical sites, explore the Smithsonian Museum, meet congressional leaders, spend a day on Capitol Hill, cruise down the Potomac River, and learn about American history and government.

Fred Bombach art exhibit on display at La Porte FFA Museum

An extensive exhibit of artist Fred Bombach is being featured in the Museum’s gallery in La Porte City. This exhibit will be displayed at the Museum until August 2, 2014, and will be highlighted with an Artist’s Reception on Thursday, May 22, 2014, from 7-8:30 pm.
