7th grader Syndy Morin was recently selected for participation in the 35th annual Opus Honor Choir Festival. Over 2100 students were nominated by their directors for 720 positions in the four Opus Honor Choirs.

 November 3, 2021 — The Benton County Community Foundation will join in a nationwide celebration, November 12-18, 2021, to recognize the increasingly important role that community foundations play in strengthening localities and addressing community needs.

Program Provides Education on College Financing and PlanningA program offering $2,000 scholarships is now open to Iowa high school seniors. Students not only have a chance at much-needed funds for college but can also learn ways to reduce college loan debt through the program.

Each month this year, VS FFA will be recognizing members that have been outstanding in the classroom, FFA, and SAE. A Greenhand member and upperclassman will be recognized each month for their contributions to VSHS  FFA.

In honor of National First Responders Day, which takes place annually on Oct. 28, Western Governors University (WGU) is launching a new scholarship to show appreciation for first responders — including EMTs, police officers, firefighters, corrections officers and others — who have demonstrated unprecedented selflessness and commitment in serving area communities as they carried out their duties throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
