After several weeks of NCCC training, the FEMA Corps Class 20 members and team leaders have left Vinton for a two-week FEMA-specific training session in Alabama. Campus Director Dan Milnes said program leaders are making arrangements to conduct the next class's FEMA-specific training in Vinton.
The teams will travel throughout the U.S., helping people in places that have been declared disaster areas because of tornadoes, hurricanes or other major events.
