Ryan Cuttler, from Syracuse, New York is serving on team Cedar 1 in AmeriCorps NCCC Class 20. He arrived in Vinton on February 11 to start his 10-month service term. Cedar 1 is made up of eight people from across the country who will serve together around the Midwest.
Ryan says” I felt that doing a year of service with NCCC will be a fun, a journey that I will have to work hard at, and a great experience for me.”
Before Ryan joined the NCCC program he was working a camp counselor and Casowasco Camp and Retreat ministries.
Cedar 1’s second round project is at The Nature Conservancy – Western Dakotas Program, in Hot Springs and Conata Basin, SD
Cedar 1 will be assisting The Nature Conservancy – Western Dakotas Program with the installation of new trails, invasive species removal and fence repair. This will help them achieve their mission “to conserve the lands and waters on which all life depends.” (May 10-June12)
