Marta Bauer, member of Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church of Vinton, Iowa, holds a check for $200 from the Country Travel Discoveries tour company of Elm Grove, Wisconsin. The check is intended for feeding the hungry. Marta has led the Vinton Feeds the World food packaging event for three years. This year over 50,000 meals were packaged for local and international distribution. The donation is in honor of Kathryn Koob, a former hostage in Iran, who spoke to two tour groups visiting Vinton in September. The groups enjoyed meals at Bethlehem and listened to Kathryn Koob speak on her experiences in 444 days of captivity around 1980. Ms. Koob is a native of Jessup, Iowa.
