Et cetera : Berks among first place winners in State Fair Berkshire show

Brice Conover of Baxter won the Champion Gilt Berkshire Show at the 2017 Iowa State Fair. The Reserve Gilt was shown by Reed Family Berks of Ottumwa. The Grand Champion Boar banner went to Four Generations Berkshire of Ida Grove while the Reserve Champion Boar banner was awarded to Long Family Farms of Cedar. The Premier Exhibitor award went to CJL Farms of Council Bluffs. The Premier Exhibit award is given to the exhibitor who accumulates the most points based upon the day's placings. Animals are divided according to farrowing date based on the other animals entered in the competition.
