Payton Yilek, of Belle Plaine, was named to the Dean's List for the Spring 2018 semester at Buena Vista University. Students named to the Dean's List must have a minimum grade point average of 3.

VSHS Awards presented, new NHS officers named

The outgoing NHS officers (back row) introduced the 2018-19 officers (front row) during the NHS wrap-up Wednesday. Local organizations gave members of the Vinton-Shellsburg Class of 2018 more than $130,000 in awards and scholarships during the annual Senior Awards Night Wednesday in the VSHS Auditorium.
