CP girl is runner up in Junior Cowgirl Queen contest

Maggie Holzworth of West Des Moines was crowned Senior Cowgirl Queen Friday at the 2016 Iowa State Fair. Alexus Coleman of Monroe earned the title of Junior Cowgirl Queen.

Benton County 4H Foundation Thanks Community

The Benton County 4H Foundation held a silent auction at the 2016 Benton County Fair. There were fifteen items donated by 4H clubs and individuals for the auction.

Selken family holds 75th reunion

The 75th Selken Family reunion took place at the the home of Gerald and Margie Selken on Aug. 7. Those Present Were: Lenard and Charlene Velsey, Newton Ia, Susie & Jeffary, Zac,Tanner, & Brittany Even of Jesup Ia, David & Julie Duncalf and Grandaughter Melodie D’hooge of Luzerne, Ia.
