Jason and Britton Lerch, Bill and Betty Thorsvig, of Vinton and Peggy Knoll of Amana, are pleased to announce the engagement of their children on June 18th, 2015.

Upper Iowa University is pleased to announce the names of its May 2015 graduates, followed by the degree earned. David Ervin of Vinton, IA, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Conservation Mgmt.

Hugh and Joanna (Osborn) Brody established their homestead in Polk Township, just a couple miles south of Urbana, shortly after the Osborn family moved to the area in 1840.

The Center Point 1903 school building is gone to make way for improvements at the now Middle School.  But for many people the memories made in that old building will live on.
