Maple 4 perseveres bugs, bad weather to serve area conservation boards

By Jesse Crouch Wind, wind, and more wind greeted Maple 4 of NCCC at the beginning of their third round project. The storm on June 30 brought damaging winds forcing the team off the road on orientation day and altered the course of their first week’s service.

GoVS mug sales at John's to raise funds for scholarships

GoVS (Generating Opportunities for Viking Scholars) is selling refillable mugs, which can be used at John’s Qwik Stop in Vinton.  The $20 purchase price of the mug will give mug holders unlimited free refills of coffee or fountain pop at John’s Qwik Stop from August 21 to December 25.

The Vinton Garden Club member of National Garden Clubs, Inc., District II, and Central Region met 9:30 am, May 28, 2014 at "In The Country Garden and Gifts" in Quasqueton with Fran Stueck as hostess.

Wildcat event raises $4600 for Honor Flight

On Saturday, August 16, 2014, the Hawkeye Labor Council sponsored their second annual Golf Outing at the Wildcat Golf Course in Shellsburg.  It was great weather and a fun event held for a good cause.

NCCC Team Helps Out at Camp Albrecht Acres
