IA community colleges enter admission agreement with Iowa Private Collaborative

Iowa higher education institutions are collaborating to create transfer pathways from community colleges to private four-year institutions (Des Moines, Iowa—October 16, 2024) Fifteen Iowa community college presidents met Wednesday, September 25 in Des Moines to approve the Iowa Private Transfer Guarantee admission agreement with the Iowa Private Transfer Collaborative that aims to streamline the transfer process for Iowa community college and qualifying* high school students to private four-year institutions.

Did you know that most of the pedestrian fatalities in Iowa are not people getting hit as they cross a city street? In 2023, 22 of the 30 pedestrian fatalities were on roadways with a speed limit of 55 or higher when they are doing things like walking “amuck” outside of their car tending to a breakdown.

What We're Reading: We used to live here

I'm a big fan of the thriller/suspense genre.  When I found out Blake Likely will be starring in this page-to-screen adaptation on Netflix of 'We Used To Live Here' by Marcus Kliewer, it was the icing on the cake! Eve and Charlie are house flippers and recently purchased a house away from the cities.
