Team Leader Kellie Mattingly was once a lifeguard.

Today’s spotlight Kellie Mattingly who hails from Bloomington, IN. Working in the field as the Team Leader of Cedar 2, Kellie graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelors of Science in Recreation with an emphasis in Park and Recreation Management. Kellie is completing her hear of service because she had completed one year of service with AmeriCorps VISTA and decided to complete another through the NCCC program because she enjoyed my first year of service so much. When Kellie finishes her year in AmeriCorps NCCC as a Team Leader, she wants to work with the National Park Service.
Q: What were you doing before NCCC?
A: I was doing an AmeriCorps VISTA term with the American Red Cross in Lafayette IN as a Disaster Services Specialist
Q: What was your first job?
A: My first job was as a lifeguard
Q: Who is your favorite actor?
A: Matt Damon
Q: What will be your first words of advice for your team members?
A: Realize that this year will fly by and to take advantage of every opportunity available to you.
Q: One place in the world you really wish you could visit? Why?
A: I have always wanted to travel to Morocco. The more photos I see of it, and the more I learn about it, the more I really want to go there. A close second would be Dubai, followed by Cuba.
Q: Favorite candy bar?
A: Not a candy bar person, but I love peanut M&Ms
Q: Are there any sayings your parents repeated over and over that you can still remember clearly?
A: Nope!
