Roll the Wagons                    William Heuman                                                 Large Type                                                 Western                                                 Reviewed by                                                 Connie Bennett          Readers of Westerns, I have a new offering for you, and as an added bonus, it's a large type edition!  After reading this review, I'm sure you'll want to grab up this one!          It all starts out on a sweltering hot day at 2:09 PM, on a trip with a freight-hauling company, Rocky Mountain Freighting.  Kern Harlan is the new wagon master, having just inherited the company from his guardian, Billy McCloud.  Both Kern and Everett Green, commissary for the thirty-wagon freighting train, know that there is trouble brewing between two of the bullwhackers, both armed with a blacksnake whip, and able to "flick a fly off the ear of an ox at fifteen paces."          This is a rough book, full of verbal sparring, fistfights, and a few gut shots.  These men work hard, play hard, and live dangerously, yet have a rock solid idea of friendship, loyalty, and revenge.  (Don't worry, Romantics; the pretty lady shows up on page 22!)          A new freighting company has dared to come into Nebraska City and undercut the older companies, hoping to run them all out of business, and therein lies the rub!  Of course, Kern and Everett can't just stand by and see this happen to their life-long friends, and the war is on, complete with dirty tactics and hidden identities.  This book is short but sweet, and was an eventful read. Plus, it's a brand new volume! Who's  going to be the first to check it out?  Ready; GO!                                                  Published 1951                                                  Gold Medal Books                                                  USA                                                  Large Print Edition                                                  Published 2022                                                  Golden West Inc.                                                 Thorndike,ME USA
