Now in Coralville/Iowa City, AmeriCorps NCCC Team Oak Six is currently working with the United States Army Corps of Engineers at Coralville Lakes and the Johnson County Fairground, which is located in Iowa City. The team will be serving on this project until June 27, 2012.

With the Corps of Engineers, Oak Six is working on the trail system near Coralville Lake, making repairs to the trail tread, removing invasive plant species such as garlic mustard and oriental bittersweet, replacing bridges, removing dead and downed trees from the trails, reclaiming trail lost to the 2008 floods and restructuring existing infrastructure

With the Johnson County Fairgrounds, Oak Six is doing various maintenance-related tasks, from removing paint and reapplying paint, to up-keeping the buildings and scrap metal removal. The team is also helping out with various events going on at the fairgrounds, such as the Mennonite relief sale.

In the three days that team has worked, they have already filled a scrap metal dumpster, replaced a bridge on the Coralville Lakes trails, scraped a livestock barn and painted an office building.
