Et cetera : AmeriCorps NCCC Welcomes New Staff Member

Dave Luther is a native of Cedar Rapids but has lived outside of Vinton for the past 20 years. He worked at Duffy’s in Cedar Rapids for 25 years buying and selling collector cars and was also part owner for 10 years.

Dave is no stranger to the North Central Region campus. Prior to being hired as a full time staff member, Dave had previously worked as a short term employee with the Operations Department several times. The first time he worked with the NCCC he assisted with making cottage into a functioning dorm. When a full-time position as the Logistics Assistant became opened, he was eager to apply.

Dave loves working with the Corps Members and believes the staff is some of the friendliest individuals he has ever been around. As the Logistics Assistant, Dave works with the Support Services Specialist to buy and distribute supplies to the Corps Members and staff, maintain the fleet and its records as well as help with maintenance issues within the facilities. He is excited to support the members by providing them the necessary tools to succeed and serve communities.
