The 4th Street Diner meal on Sunday, July 22nd will be Roast Pork, Mashed Potatoes/Gravy, Spinach, Peaches, Custard, WW Bread, and Milk

On Monday, June 18th, the afternoon activity was a Pepper Card Party. There were 5 tables of players.  Clete Friedman won 1st place with 311 points.  Hazel Eastwood won 2nd place with 289 points.  Bud Barr won 3rd place with 277 points.  After cards, refreshments were served by the card club.  HACAP provided the beverages.

On Tuesday, June 19th, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo.  The volunteer caller was Maureen.  Marion Isabel handpicked the games.  Game one was a 9-Pack with George Eckhart winning.  Game two was the Letter “X” with George Eckhart winning.  Game three was the Letter “Z” with JoAnn Roster as the winner.  Game four was Four Corners and Frame the Free Spot with Elsie Knaack winning.  June Salerno won game five with Blackout.   

On Wednesday, June 20th, Judy Mehlert provided the afternoon musical entertainment.

On Thursday, June 21st, the afternoon activity was 10-Cent Bingo. Vickie Holst was the volunteer caller.  The games were handpicked by Evelyn Greenwood.  Game one was a 9-Pack with Rita O’Connell winning.  Game two was a Flag with Orville Ellingson, Faye Goodell, Hazel Eastwood, and Geri Shaffer winning.  Game three was Four Postage Stamps with George Eckhart winning.  Game four was Wild Number Three Bingos with Greta Geiken winning.  Phyllis Ebert won game five with Blackout.

On Friday, June 22nd, there were 6 tables of 500 played.  Edna Schutt won 1st place with 3,590 points.  Darlene Peters won 2nd place with 3,350 points.  Geri Shaffer won 3rd place with 3,280 points.  After the games, refreshments were provided by Card Club.  Beverages were provided by HACAP.

Serving Buffet from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM, Monday through Friday.  A choice of salads is available on the buffet.

Everyone is WELCOME!  Suggested contribution for individuals 60 years old or older, and their spouse (regardless of age) is $2.75 for the meal.  Individuals who are not yet 60 are WELCOME but need to pay $3.75 for their meal.  Carryout meals are available.  We deliver meals to Vinton, Newhall, Urbana, and Garrison/Mt Auburn.  The suggested contribution is $3.00/meal if you are 60 or older.  We also have nutritious frozen meals and liquid supplements.  Delivery is throughout Benton County.  Please call 319-472-4761 for more information about services or to reserve a table for groups of 3c or more. 

Each month the 4th St Diner has a special day set aside to celebrate birthdays for that month.  It is always scheduled for the second Tuesday of each month.  Anyone having a birthday for that particular month is encouraged to make a reservation for themselves and any guests they would like to celebrate with.  The names of all birthday celebrants who have made a reservation for the Birthday Table are entered into the door prize drawing.  We currently have two door prizes scheduled for each month.  The first is $5 in Vinton Unlimited Value Dollars generously donated by Vinton Unlimited.  The second is a gift certificate for a free 4th Street Diner meal.  Reservations for the Birthday Dinner table can be made by calling 472-4761.  Reservations need to be made by 10:00 AM on the day of the celebration.
