On Saturday, June 1, from 11:00 a.m. – 2 p.m. members of Blessed Hope will be having a friendly competition between the “YIA” (Young in Age- under 35) and the “YAH” (Young at Heart- over 35). Each group will be asking for a donation to pump gas and wash windows for the patrons at Ehlinger’s Vinton Express & John’s Qwik Stop. The group who collects the most money will get their personal car windows washed by the losing group after church on Sunday. All money raised will go toward mission work. Blessed Hope has had the opportunity to serve in the past at a Guatemala Orphanage & in the Appalachian Mountains. This summer, they will be traveling to an area that has been devastated by tornados. Those in the community that would like to support this cause are encouraged to stop by one of the gas stations. You can sit and relax in your car and have your gas pumped and windows washed…….just like the good old days! An adult mission trip is being planned for the end of July. Adults over the age of 18 are welcome to join Blessed Hope on their mission trip. If interested, call Blessed Hope Church- 319-472-3995.
Anyone who does not have a church home is welcome to worship at Blessed Hope on Sundays at 9:30 a.m. (The church on the hill behind Theisens)
