Wesley United Methodist will host their annual free will donation rummage sale on Friday May 10th, 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. and Saturday May 11th, 9-11 a.m. The address is 516 2nd Ave, by the library. May is "Get Caught Reading" Month! Get Caught Reading is a nationwide campaign to promote the
fun of reading books for all ages. Because research indicates that early language experience actually
stimulates a child’s brain to grow and that reading to children gives them a huge advantage when
they start school, we hope to encourage people of all ages to enjoy books and magazines and to share
that pleasure with the young children in their lives.
Bike Rodeo Tuesday April 30, 5-6:00 p.m.
The Bike Safety Rodeo will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 from 5:00 PM 6:00 PMGet your bike checked out by the Vinton Police Department and ride a challenging course! Center Point Historical Society May Activities
May is a happening month, in Nature and at the Center Point Historical Society Depot Museum:Sunday, May 5. 2 p.m. - There will be a talk on “ Trees and Tree Planting” by Linn County Park Ranger, Shaun Reilly.Sunday, May 12. 2 p.m. – A presentation will be given concerning this year’s periodic cicada big buzz by Chuck Ungs of the Wickiup Hill Learning Center.
2024 BENTON COUNTY RELAY FOR LIFE—SAVE THE DATE
Sunday, June 2nd, 2024—SAVE THE DATE!! That is the date for the Benton Conty Relay For Life beginning at 6:00 PM at the Benton Community MS/HS track in Van Horne. Everyone of us has been touched by cancer in some way. Friends, relatives, caregivers, survivors – we all use our special passion to help the American Cancer Society save lives, celebrate lives, and lead the fight for a world without cancer.
