Iowa's Rosie the Riveters presentation July 25

On Thursday, July 25 beginning at 6:30 pm a presentation sponsored by the Benton County Historical Society, will be held at the Vinton Railroad Depot, 612 2nd Avenue, Vinton.For a free will donation, you can enjoy a presentation by Linda McCann.Rosie the Riveter has become an iconic representation of the independent woman. Notably, she symbolizes the almost 20 million women who went to work in war industries during World War II.

Firefly Festival at Benton County

Bring your family & friends out for a magical evening filled with fireflies, laughs, delicious food and beverages, games, art, firefly education, & live music from local artists! Local organizations attending this event include Tanager Place, Benton County Historical Society, 42° North Winery, Craivin’ Shavin’s Shaved Ice, Beast & Bird, Antonio's Mexican Grill and the Vinton Guild of Fine Arts.

The final North Iowa Tractor Ride will be in Vinton July 18 – 20, 2024

The North Iowa Tractor Ride will be taking its final ride July 18th – July 20th. This will be the ride's 17th ride. Headquartered at the Benton County Fairgrounds in Vinton, nearly 200 vintage and restored tractors and pre-registered drivers, friends and family will start signing in, receiving goodie bags, T-shirts, and tractor signage on Thursday afternoon July 18th, before taking part in the evening meal and drivers safety meeting.

Bugs Make the World Go Round at the Center Point Public Library
