Events and Activities : Surf's Up, Friday August 2, at the Pool

The Vinton Community Swimming Pool will be hosting its annual Palace at the Pool movie on Friday, August 2nd. This year we will be showing the movie "Surf's Up." This animated family comedy follows an up-and-coming young penguin in a unique mockumentary style as he attempts to train for and enter the annual Penguin World Surfing Championship. The movie will start at dark and will be shown on an enormous inflatable screen. Those arriving early may swim beforehand and attendees may lounge around in the 3-foot pool or hang out on the pool deck once the movie begins. This film is rated 'PG' and has a runtime of 85 minutes. Additionally, this event is completely free for anyone that wants to attend!
