Events and Activities : W2L (Women to Leadership) Conference plans are made

The Women to Leadership conference will be held September 18, from 9:30-4:00 p.m. at the Belle Plaine Community Center. The center is located at 1309 5th Ave. in Belle Plaine. "We want to see self assured women, who know they can do WHATEVER THEY WANT TO in life, do just that. Whether that means knocking on the office doors of the county supervisor's and mayor's saying "Here I am. Pick me, I'm qualified to be on your board or commission." Or the confidence to knock on a constituent's door if you are running for office. Or believing in yourself to start your own business. Whatever it is, we ...are behind you! The goal of W2L's conference is to give you a network of women to go to when you need advice and the skills and confidence to stride through those doors. I would love it if you can make it. Again this year, we have some great speakers and a fantastic agenda planned. The $25.00 registration cost is for lunch and your notebook, otherwise it's free. Last years event was held and had a wonderful response. The event had several speakers who shared their experiences in various leadership role. There were politicians, news reporters, and even our local businesses were represented. This is a great event for women of any age to attend! Be sure to register quickly as it fills up fast! I recommend you grab your friends and load the car up for a girls day away!
